My friend and his gifts

For some very strange reasons, my new friend likes to give me stuff that he found.
For my birthday:

  • Roman/Celtic beads
  • Celtic belt ornaments – there used to be dozens on one belt
  • Celtic Fibula
  • Coin of Emperor Valens

    Just gifts: the fire maker thing and a part of a grenade from an exercise terrain

    The Bronze Age axe was not a gift, but one of the cool things he found.

birthday

We had such high hopes for the big field near the Roman Villa, but there was nothing but foil. And dry, and well.. I had my new Black Ada shovel after a week of consideration. I think i bought the right one, but they are all heavy compared to my previous one. I guess it means it won’t break into 2 pieces that quickly.

We moved to another village where I often find things, and this part was more in the North. We found 6 old coins each, and some other small stuff.
Then we moved to another field where I found nothing and my friend found a gem ! An early medieval bronze ring in perfect condition ! It was quite deep too. We both found a grenade head from second world war. It’s a known location where several young guys died.
